HIRING - Assistant Campaign Manager

HIRING - Assistant Campaign Manager

You will assistant me, Sasha, in running Pride Book Tours by spearheading tours when there is demand that exceeds my availability.

The process of arranging tours takes around 5-6 hours over a four week period and you will likely be assigned one or two new tours every week, so your workload is likely to equal 5-12 hours a week. 5 hours a week is the minimum for this position, additional hours will be optional. You'll be in charge of when you do your hours but will discover there is a rough schedule to when things need to be posted which you will need to work around. Initial training will add a few hours to the first tour or two you work on.

You will be paid £70 per tour. If you’re outside of the UK, you may need to set up a Stripe account so I can pay you.

The position is open internationally, will be remote, and will last from late April to late September. In July, I will be going on holiday and the opportunity to run the business (12-24 hours a week according to your availability) for a month may present itself.

Someone familiar with Pride Book Tours through working with us as a bookstagrammer is preferred, as is prior experience in PR and/or social media, but neither is essential.

Enthusiasm for promoting LGBT+ books of all genres as well as taking care of our publishers, authors and bookstagrammers is a must.

You will need to become familiar with our feed and what we post to gain an understanding for the work you will be doing.

You will be given access to our Instagram account but will need to create your own email for email correspondence.

Responsibilities:

  • Putting together tour sign ups using concise and sharp wording.
  • Selecting the most suitable participants for these tours and contacting them, including answering their questions and concerns.
  • Keeping the publisher/author updated on your progress.
  • Putting together tour graphics - basic understanding of Canva or similar website needed.
  • Reposting posts for the tour (on our stories) every day or every two days.
  • Posting a tour wrap up to our feed within two weeks after a tour ends.
  • Keeping Sasha updated on your progress and which posts you have ready to go so she can co-ordinate the overall business schedule.

To apply, send your CV and a cover letter of roughly 100 to 400 words to pridebooktours@gmail.com by the end of Sunday, April 9th.

Thanks so much for your interest! You can email me or DM me @pridebooktours on Instagram if you have any questions.
