Tour Sign Up: ABC Pride by By Louie Stowell and Dr Elly Barnes

ABC PRIDE?


Synopsis:

DK has partnered with Pride in London to publish ABC Pride, an educational book that
combines the classic ABC learning format, with inspirational information including the
meaning behind the colours of the Pride flag. Pride in London have stated that they will be
giving a percentage of sales to Pride in London's Unity Fund to support LGBTQ+ groups
that need it the most.
Publishing in June, the book is timed to celebrate 50 years since the first Pride March in the
UK. Louie Stowell is the Waterstones author of the month and has worked closely with Pride
in London to create a highly visual, colourful and informative book that is easy to understand.
ABC Pride includes question prompts to help facilitate discussions, and will inspire and
encourage further reading. The book will be an important resource when initiating
conversations with little ones as it introduces young readers to key concepts and inclusive
terminology.
Aimed at children aged 3+, the book has been written by Dr Elly Barnes MBE, an
experienced educationalist, founder and CEO of Educate & Celebrate, along with expert
children’s writer, Louie Stowell. The book has been illustrated by US illustrator Amy Phelps,
known for their drawings on LGBTQ+ themes and positive messages about mental health.

ABOUT THE TOUR

The tour for ABC Pride will take place July 4th to July 17th.

This tour is open to bookstagrammers in the United Kingdom and physical copies will be provided. 

We usually expect reviews from participants but please indicate on the form if you'll be unable to provide this.
